hOME Safety aSSESSMENTS
WHAT ? A Home Safety Assessment is a professional evaluation of your home to identify & eliminate potential hazards.
Why? The goal is to ensure that you have full access to your home both today as well as in the future as you age in place.
When? Assessments are conducted in response to an injury, surgery, loss of mobility or as a proactive measure to reduces risks as adults prepare to age in place.
Who? Orange65 Home Assessments are conducted by individuals who are Certified Aging in Place Specialists as well as Certified Senior Home Safety Specialists.
how does it work?
Following the in-home assessment, you’ll receive written recommendations.
Once a modification plan is agreed upon, Orange 65 will provide a written quote and provide oversight to ensure the project recommendations are met.
Certifications
Orange65 Home Assessments are conducted by individuals who are Certified Aging in Place Specialists as well as Certified Senior Home Safety Specialists.
A Certified Aging in Place Specialist, or CAPS for short, is a professional trained in meeting the needs of older adults by assisting with aging in place home enhancements and renovations.
A CAPS professional must go through extensive training offered by the National Association of Home Builders to acquire this designation.
Once certified, they can work with a senior, their family caregiver and other loved ones to make the space livable and safe for an aging adult.

About
Orange65 was born out of my personal experience as a caregiver with my family. My dad was homebound for 2 years before he sadly passed away. During this time, my mom and I focused on caregiving and I experienced firsthand the need for help with household maintenance tasks as well as home safety modifications.
Unfortunately, I discovered that it was extremely difficult to find the “right person” to help. I wanted someone who was background checked, well-trained to be respectful of my parents’ home, who was dependable and would show up when they had promised. They also needed to be able to do complex tasks such as install safety rails as well as those simple everyday maintenance that my dad could no longer do and my mom was to busy to do.
The longer I looked, the more frustrating it was trying to find someone who could handle all of the tasks AND provide white glove service. As my frustration grew, so did the idea for Orange65.
You can rest assured that we will treat your home and belongings with great care and respect. I consider it an honor for our team to be invited into your home. Our commitment is to provide white glove service for you, your family and clients.

My name is Donda Combs; I’m a woman of unwavering faith as well as the founder and owner of Orange65. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we are blessed to live on Puget Sound.
I’ve worn several hats professionally: I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was in college, the CEO of a residential Mental Health Facility, a business coach for a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary and a Stock Trader.
I homeschooled both of our children who are now full functioning adults.
While my roles have varied over the years, my passion for helping others has been a constant component of each endeavor.
